To set up Stop List options:
Click on General settings in the Administration menu.
Select Stop list options from the section menu.
Set the options below.
• Check if the current set of products in the cart coincides with the product set from an order originating from a blocked IP: Select this check box if you want IP addresses from which new orders are placed containing the same products as some order originating from an IP already entered into the Stop List to be entered into the Stop List as well. Enabling this option can prevent a hacker from placing fraudulent orders from other IP addresses after his first IP was blocked. However, please note that the fact that an order contains the same products as an order from a blocked IP may be sheer coincidence. If you believe the risk of IP addresses of honest customers getting into the Stop List is too high, keep this option disabled.
• Maximum transaction from one unique IP address (per day): Set up the maximum number of transactions from the same IP address during a day.
• Maximum number of failed transactions allowable for the same IP address. If this limit is exceeded, the IP address is placed into the Stop List: Use this option to set the limit of failed transactions allowed for one IP address. If the number of failed transactions from some IP address exceeds the fixed limit, this IP address is included into the Stop list.
• Failed transaction limit in one session: Set up the number of failed transactions allowable in one session (transactions may be conducted from different IP addresses). If the limit of failed transactions is exceeded, the customer will not be able to complete order checkout procedure.
• Maximum number of transactions the order placing time of which does not exceed the minimum time allowed for order placement. When this limit is reached, the IP address of the customer is entered into the Stop list: Use this option to set the maximum allowable number of transactions from one IP address in which orders are placed in less time than is normally required for placing an order.
• Minimum time of order placement ensuring that the order was placed by a person, not by a script: Set the minimum time in which you believe an order can be created by a human being. If an order is created quicker than this time limit, it will be treated as the one created by a script, not a person.
• Fail checkout process, if the customer proxy is anonymous: Select this check box if you wish to forbid checkout for customers using anonymous proxy servers.
Click on Save.
